Subject: [NOR] baptism of Embret Andersen Kolterud
Date: Sat, 1 Aug 2009 18:38:11 -0700 (PDT)

I've found what appears to be the baptism of Embret Andersen Kolterud who married Marit Olsdatter in 1738. The baptism is in the right place at the right time, but I'm not sure about the child's name. Engebor? Later records call him Embret, Imbret, Ingebret or Engebret.

The father is apparently Anders Ingebrechtson? Why would the priest spell the father's surname with an I and the son's given name with an E? Am I on the right track? My first pass through Boka om Land vol. 8 didn't find the father in Kolterud, but I was in a hurry and might have missed him.

The baptism:
Land Kirkebøk 1708-1732 p.78-79 left, middle.

Thanks

Shirley
