I do not agree!
If you look at the letters it is clearly written flodføring and not
flødningsarb -
do we have someone with knowledge of local dialects from Telemark here?

Seems to be "Flodføringskone" - and I don`t know what it is! The only thing
I can imagine is that her husband would be the one who helped people who
wanted to cross the river? A river without a bridge to walk over would need
a man with a boat to row them over....
I have never seen that word before!
