Ottar Balstad
Ottar Balstad, 96, passed away June 1, 1997. Born in Trondheim, Norway on
Feb. 5, 1901 to Andrew and Marie Balstad, he came to Fertile, MN with his
parents in 1903. He has been a Tacoma area resident since 1925. Preceded in
death by his wife, Zeffie; parents, Andrew and Marie; three sisters; and one
brother. Survivors include nephew, Andrew Balstad; nieces, Gudrun Margaret
Mahoney and Helen M. Weigel; three great nephews and four great nieces;
three great-great nephews; and one great-great niece. Funeral services 11:00
a.m. Thursday in the Mountain View Garden Chapel. Memorial contributions, if
desired, may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Mountain
View Funeral Home. 584-0252.
