Hi everyone

Just a thought - are records of school admissions in the UK available to
outsiders ? If a child is registered at a school his date, and place of
birth must be recorded as must the names of his parents.

This information is available in South Africa - but how confidential it
is I am not sure.

Is there a list of schools in various towns/villages available ? Has any
research been undertaken by anyone in this area ?

I am researching Stones from Carrington, Wood from Balderton, Smiths
from Kimberley and Wrights from Nottingham/Derbyshire
