I stayed in Lincoln last year. I had traveller's cheques & the banks
were only open when I was at the Archives. As a consequence, I was
forced to leave the library & cash a large number of cheques so I
wouldn't have to keep interrupting my research. This meant that I was
carrying a large amount of cash which defeats the purpose of traveller's
cheques.

I checked and there were ATMs. There are several banks on High Street
which is very close to the mail Lincoln Library & the Lincoln Archives.

I will be in Lincoln this July & I intend to use the ATMs.

Have a good trip
