Subject: [Notts] HARWOOD marriage - Gedling

but a few are scattered throughout the country. One of my most elusive and
confusing family are the HARWOOD's who originated in Cambridgeshire but some
settled in Nottingham and some emigrated to Australia.

married to Mary GODFREY at Gedling parish church on March 29 1880.

GODFREY in December 1895. On a recent visit to the archives I did get a
copy of that marriage register and confirmed that this David is the son of
Joseph HARWOOD.

certainly appreciate the look up to confirm George's father and any other
information on the certificate and also if Sarah and Mary were siblings -
maybe just a coincidence of names, who knows!!!!
Hi Sue,
I am researching GODFREY in Gedling and the Sarah GODFREY who married David
James HARWOD in Netherfield in 1895 was, I believe, the sister of my great
grandfather Thomas Thompson GODFREY.
She was born in 1873 the daughter of John GODFREY and in 1901 the HARWOODs
were living at 37 Deabill Street Netherfield.
I do not know who the Mary Godfrey was.I have got details of most of the
GODFREY entries at Gedling but I do not seem to have a marriage a Mary
GODFREY to a George HARWOOD.
I would be willing to do your look up but it will be a week or two before I
can get to the archives .
Let me know if some one else does it for you in the meantime
