MAHANEY-DEINSTADT
CHURCHOVER, Oct. 31- On Tuesday last, at the Church of the Resurrection at
this place, a pretty wedding took place, when Miss Thelma Alena Deinstadt,
eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Deinstadt of Gunning Cove, became
the bride of Harvey Douglas Mahaney, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney
Mahaney of this place.
The wedding marches were played by Mrs. Helen Acker, church organist and
aunt of the bride. The choir sang "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden" and "O
Perfect Love".
The bride was given in marriage by her father and was gowned in a
floor-length ivory brocaded satin en train, and finger tip veil, caught up
with a coronet of white ice-box blossoms and carried a bouquet of pink
carnations.
She was attended by her sister, Miss Lillian Deinstadt. The best man was the
groom's brother, Donald Mahaney of Barrington Passage. The double ring
ceremony was performed by Rev. T. R. B. Anderson of Shelburne.
The reception following was held in the Hall at Gunning Cove, attended by
over 100 guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Mahaney left for a wedding trip through the province, and will
reside in Shelburne.
