Subject: [NS-L] Bacon surname
Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2002 00:52:18 -0600
anyone researching the BACON surname in Digby/Annapolis county.i am
interested in any Bacon families which might have
a family connection to a Bacon family which lived in Charlotte County, New
Brunswick (St. Stephen area) between 1800 (or earlier) -1850.
Information that i have so far is the following:
Vital Stats from New Bruswick newspapers
22 march 1845:
died, Digby, NS 8th inst. by falling of a tree upon him, Thomas BACON age
61, left wife, nine children, member of Baptist Church.
Does anyone know who this Thomas Bacon is?
NEW BRUNSWICK CONNECTION:
CLARA J. BACON was born 6 September 1826 in St. Stephens, New Brunswick.
She was the last survivor of a family of 12 children and her father was a
veteran of the War of 1812.
I don't know whether the whole family immigrated to Maine or not, but Clara
J. BACON married Thomas HUSE in Calais, Maine, in 1844.
thanks in advance for any help
