Hello Gary~

In the CD "Ships & Seafarers of Atlantic Canada" I found the following for QUILLIAN/QUILLAN, Patrick Bachelor, and ROSE, Levi/Levy W.:

In the Crew database - no listings

In the Masters database - no listings

In the Owners database -

There is a listing that sounds possible:
QUILLINAN, Patrick, residence Sheet Harbour, Halifax Co., NS, occupation Mariner, was owner no. 1 with 22 shares in the vessel "Susan". It's reg. no. was H839187, place/yr constr. Sheet Harbour, 1839, with 1 deck, 2 masts, "Schooner", 56 x 16 x 9, 46 gross tonnage, yr reg. 1839. The other owners were John QUILLINAN, occ. Mariner, res. Sheet Harbour; & Daniel QUILLINAN, occ. Mariner, res. Sheet Harbour.

There are listings for Daniel & John QUILLINAN of Sheet Harbour also.

There is a listing for a Levy ROSE, res. Sheet Harbour, occ. Mariner, owner no. 1 with 64 shares of the vessel "Success to the Fish", reg. no. H845077, place/yr prev. reg. - Halifax, 1846, place/yr constr. Mahone Bay, Lunenburg Co, NS, with 1 deck, 2 masts, "Schooner", 45 x 14 x 7, 26 gr. tonnage, yr reg. 1854, off. closure yr/reason 1855, "wrecked". This is the same closure year as the info. you provided, and this vessel was also "wrecked". Possibly this is a good connection for your research!

I looked up both the above vessels in the Vessel Registry, but found no additional information.

In the foreign Crew database - no listings
In the foreign Masters database - no listings

Hope this adds to your research! Good luck! Kendra
