11-year Old Passes Away
Stellarton- Karen Lynn Cullen, 11-year old daughter of John and Ann
Cullen, Rutherford Street, died Monday at the Colchester Hospital, Truro.
Although in indifferent health for the greater part of her life, she was
at the time of her death a Grade 6 student at the G.R. Saunders School and a
member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Church.
Surviving besides her parents , is a brother Robert and two sisters, Lee
Ann and Linda, all at home; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Eva Cullen,
Stellarton.
The remains will rest at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Acadia Ave.,
Stellarton, after 7 this evening and the funeral will be held on Thursday
at 9am, from Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, with interment in the parish
cemetery.

Thomas Cullen Passes Away
New Glasgow- Thomas Bernard Cullen, Warren St., died at his home on
Thursday. He was born in Stellarton, 71 years ago, a son of the late John
and Bridget(Cardiff)Cullen. He was a retired miner and steel worker and a
member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Parish.
He is survived by one son, Thomas, Hamilton, Ont., two sisters, Mary(Mrs.
Vincent Kirby), Medford, Mass; Evelyn(Mrs. John Lawrence), Stellarton; two
brothers, David and William, both of Stellarton.He was predeceased by three
brothers and one sister.
The remains will rest at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, King St., after 7
o'clock this Friday evening. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mrs. R. Culton Passes Away
New Glasgow- Mrs. Reginald Culton, secretary of the Children's Aid
Society here for more than 20 years, died Sunday morning at the Aberdeen
Hospital in her 83rd year.
The former Alice Fraser, she was born in Rexton, N.B., to William and
Martha Fraser; she moved with her family as a child to Eureka and then to
Westville, her father being employed in the iron smelting works and later
with the Drummond Colliery. She spent her early married life in Saskatchewan
but had lived since the late twenties in Stellarton and New Glasgow.
She was active with Silver Cross Mothers, the Red Cross, Eastern Star and
women's activities in Sharon St.John Church.
Mrs. Culton was married to Lester Archibald in 1912 and went with him to
take up wheat farming near Moose Jaw. He died in 1921 and she later married
Reginald Culton, returning with him to Stellarton in the late twenties; he
died in 1944.
Mrs. Culton is survived by her daughter, Norma, Mrs. Jerry Fulmer, with
whom she had resided in recent months; two nephews she brought up as sons
from babyhood, Dr. Girvan Fraser of Kingston, Ont., and Bill of Halifax; six
grandchildren and her brother, John Duncan Fraser of Glen Haven Manor, only
surviving member of her family.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Robert Kerr and Mrs. J.W.H.
Sutherland, of New Glasgow, and two brothers, Girvan of Stellarton and James
of Westville.
The body is resting at the MacQuarrie Funeral Parlor, Stellarton, The
funeral will be at 2pm Tuesday, at Trinity United Church, New Glasgow, with
interment at Riverside cemetery.
