09/06/2003 Betty O'Brien MIRAMICHI, NB - Betty O'Brien, 82, of Water
Street, Miramichi NB passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital,
September 4, 2003. Originally from Cape Breton, NS, she was the daughter of
the late Richard O'Connell and Mary Ryan. She was a homemaker and attended
St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters,
Margaret Kenna (Merle) of Miramichi, Theresa Martin of Baie Ste. Anne,
Barbara Richard (Guy) of Miramichi; three sons, Richard O'Brien (Sharon),
Fred O'Brien (Cathy), both of Miramichi, Micheal O'Brien (Norma) of St.
Hubert, QC; one sister, Helen Lockhart (Earl) of Toronto, ON; three
brothers, Pat O'Connel, Leo O'Connell, both of Sydney, N.S., Richard
O'Connell of Halifax N.S.; 15 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by husband Benjamin in 1983; son, Dennis O'Brien in
1990, sisters, Ann Pass, Margaret O'Connell; brothers, Joe, Frank and Ed
O'Connell. Remains resting at Mahers Funeral Home with visitation Friday
from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrews
Roman Catholic Church on Saturday September 6, 2003 at 11am. Interment will
be in St. Andrew's Cemetery Loggieville.
