Subject: [NSW-ORANGEBATHURST-L] CARGO NSW & FAMILIES
Date: Fri, 12 Feb 1999 17:39:27 +1000

Hi everyone,
I would really love to hear from anyone who had families in the Cargo
district of NSW particularly during the period of 1870-1900 (give or take a
few decades). I've found during my research that Cargo seems to be
catered for from Molong, Orange, Canowindra and sometimes even Carcoar. As
all of my grandfathers family came from central west NSW (and he is now 80)
and most of them seemed to live in Cargo at some time or other during their
lives I'd love to find out more.

My families living in the area during this time were O'NEILL, KEARNAN, and
BAKER, with some of the associated families of GREENING, SHEPPARD, HURKETT,
MURRAY, and NORRIS (all names with variant spellings of course). Obviously
they all moved around within the central west during their lives, to places
such as Forbes, Parkes, Cowra, Wellington, etc they all seemed to have a
common link with Cargo.

cheers Maureen
