Is there anyone researching the history of the Bathurst railway workshops?
Both my grandfathers were employed at Bathurst, John Edward Richardson as (I
think) head storeman on the western line, and Francis Waters on the track.
I am not sure of their years there, but know that John Richardson died in
1919 aged 39 (the 'flu epidemic). Francis Waters, who died in 1935 aged 74,
would have come to Bathurst from Woodstock opr Cowra sometime after 1905.
Both families lived at South Bathurst.
Any information would be welcome.
