Elizabeth Revell enquired about a property called Yarrows, occupied by Gavin Ralston
Yarrows was originally granted to George Innes 30/6/1823. It was 2000acres and is situated about 10 Klms NE of Bathurst on the Limekilns Rd heading towards Peel. Windburndale Creek runs through the property.
George Innes built a water mill on the creek in those very early days but moved from there to Capitee in the late 1820's. At some stage it was acquired by Samuel Hughes who sold it to Thomas Kite in 1861.
Thomas Kite built a large 2 storey house on it for his daughter Elizabeth when she married Mowbray Forrest in 1863. When Thomas Kite died in 1876 he left it in trust for his daughter Elizabeth and thence her children upon reaching the age of 21.
Yarrows was advertised for a lease of 5 years by the trustees of Thomas Kite's estate in the Bathurst Times of May 1889.
