Hi Irene,
Thank you for your reply. My search for parents for Albert married Ann
Wilcox 1861 Bathurst has presented a few possibilities. One is Albert born
1859 to John and Dorothea at Bathurst. There are also entries for Emma, b
57, Mary b 61 Kate b 63 and William b 72 all at Bathurst with the same
parents.
John Whalan and Dorothy Bryant were married in 1856 at Hartley and there is
a death in 1897 for Dorothea parents Walter and Mary at Sunny Corner.
I have found a John b 1838 at Bathurst to parents James Whalan and Lydia
(nee Dargin) and siblings Eliza b 1832, Mary A b 1836, and Alfred 1840 all
except Eliza (bapt. Windsor) were bapt at Bathurst. James died 1883
Bathurst. Found entry for marriage of James and Lydia for Scots Church,
Sydney 1831.
I was curious about the spouses of these Whalans, the children of James and
Lydia (nee Dargin.
Whalan, Mary A m Bell, William Bryant 1865 MacDonald River.
Whalan, John, m Bryant, Dorothy 1856 Hartley (MAY be the parents of
my Albert)
Whalan, Alfred m Byrant, Catherine 1861 Hartley
I would be interested in what you might make of it.
Best wishes,
Laraine Goodworth
