Hi Rose,

I also have a 'Mackenzie' bible circa 1858 belonging to my grt-grandfather
Lawrence Mackenzie born Scotland circa 1826 - I believe his father was also
Lawrence Mackenzie a hotelkeeper.

My grandfather Alexander Mackenzie immigrated to Australia 1890, married
Elizabeth Rose Wilson 1896 at Wellington, NSW. Alexander and Elizabeth Rose
Mackenzie (my grandparents) raised a family of 8 in Orange.

Lawrence Mackenzie (my grt-grandfather aged 75 arrived Australia 1901)
perhaps with another son Herbert Mackenzie to live on Orange, Lawrence later
died Orange 1911.

Although no common names, you might check the information in your bible.
