Both John and Margaret are in the Bathurst 1870-71 electoral roll with
address shown as Moulder street Orange.

Subject: [NSW-ORANGEBATHURST] John Gillespie and Margaret Duggan.
Bathurst1870s
John Gillespie and Margaret Duggan, both from Ireland, were married in
Bathurst in 1870.
They kept a boarding house in Howick Street in the 1870s. Is there any
way I
could I find out the number of the house to see if it is still standing?
They had two children born in Bathurst. Ellen b 1872 married Lawrence
Heaton, died 1923 in Orange, and John b 1874 d 1955 in Orange.
I have not been able to locate the date and place of death of John
senior
which should give me an idea of when he came to NSW. He doesn't appear
to be
buried with his wife who died in Orange in 1935.
Anyone out there researching this couple or have any ideas as to how to
locate his death? There are far too many John Gillespies in the BDMs to
be
sure which is the correct one.
