To get a map of the area corresponding to a lattitude/longitude provided by
Geosciences Australia (or by the state government place name searches)

Go to GoogleMaps http://maps.google.com/maps

Enter the lattitude/longitude from Geosciences Australia placing a "+" in
front of the longitude e.g. for the result
:
CURRAJONG CREEK QLD STRM (Water Courses) Official -24 52 150 50 -

:

enter into the GoogleMap search window
-24 52 +150 50

BTW: The resolution is not that fine that you'd be able to easily locate a
homestead from the degrees and minutes, you needs seconds too.
e.g. Upper Freestone Cemetery (near Warwick)
Latitude -28° 8' 9", Longitude 152° 11' 55"
http://www.chapelhill.homeip.net/FamilyHistory/Photos/Upper_Freestone/GoogleEarth.html

If you enter into googlemap without seconds you won't find the cemetery. (It
is off to the east south east).
