Your posting was certainly a windfall for me, and I can't thank you enough. I see now that I mis-read AMS' father's name (as it is shown on AMS' 1911 death certificate) as James instead of Joseph. It was actually written as J?s. Summerbell, and I thought the ? was an 'a' rather than an 'o'. Also, it didn't help that her mother's name appears on the d/c as Mary Ferris, surely an outright mistake in the last name. I will add that my AMS was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, NYC.

At this point I have no information to add to yours re Joseph's wife, Mary (my AMS' mother).

I agree with your list of the children of Ann and Charles D Burns (in fact, you have given me a middle name for William) and can add one more child to the list: Anne Kate, who died 26 Aug 1861 in NYC at age 2 mos, 2 days; she is interred at The Marble Cemetery, NYC. Charles (Charles Henry) is my grandafther. I am in correspondence with the gt-grandson of George Renwick.
