During a recent trip between Reno and Las Vegas, I stopped by and photo'd about 250 tombstones in the Tonopah Cemetery. This is only a small part of this cemetery, which is one of two in Tonopah, Nevada. Tonopah is located about the center of Nevada and is on the main highway between Reno and Las Vegas. I encourage anyone who has photos of this cemetery to contact me to arrange for posting to this new page. Hopefully, this will assist those of you who are doing research in this area. Tonopah was founded after an 'accidental' discovery of silver in about 1900. This central town has also hosted the Stealth Bomber at one time in that plane's history and is also a gateway to the Nevada Test Site. You can see the new pics at

select Nye County and scroll down to the Tonopah Cemetery.
