E.B.Parsons was listed on p. 440, 1870 Census Virginia City as Miner, age 30. His correspondence home to NH indicated he was arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned in Carson States Prison by Jan 13, 1871; he remained in this prison for the 1880 census (p 87A). Can anyone tell me how to find out for what he was tried, and whether he died in jail or was finally released?
