Greetings, all!

I am looking for records of David E. Burnham, b. 1840, d. 1864.

I've been told he died on 17 Apr 1864, "in the civil war." I cannot find
out if that means he was killed in battle that day or wounded at an earlier
time and died that day. I've also been unable to find any record of his
service.

He was born in Arkwright, Chautauqua, New York. I have been told he was in
"Company B, 140th Artillery," but this may not be true.

I've searched and searched for him but to no avail. Anyone seen a record of
this young man in their files?

Thanks in advance!
