Hello,
I would like to recommend two other excellent books
about the early settlers and their houses in the
Hudson River Valley. They are:

Pre-Revolutionary Dutch Houses and Families in
Northern New Jersey and Southern New York by Rosalie
Fellows Bailey

Dutch Houses in the Hudson Valley Before 1776 by Helen
Wilkinson Reynolds.

Both books were written in the 1930's under the
sponsorship of the Holland Society of NY. They are a
bit pricey. I obtained my paperback copies via
Amazom.com.
