We had the Dominican sisters at Holy Family School, New Rochelle. We
had art and music and they seemed light hearted. Every year in the late
spring we made a trip to their mother home in Beacon NY, right on the
Hudson. It was like a carnival and we always had a great time.

In high school, at St. Gabriels we had the Sisters of Charity. They
seem much stricter and poorer than the Dominicans....by then that is a
young girl's impression.
