Michael.... thank you for your response. Where is Piermont in respect to
Haverstraw? Do you know? I don't have a NY map handy. I believe that Peter
was born around 1830ish, but can't remember right at the moment. I don't
believe I have an exact birthday for Peter, as he died in 1873/74 in
Cleveland and he was in his 40's.
I'm beginning to believe with all of the Lynches in Rockland County that it
might be necessary to document EVERY Lynch in the area! Yikes! The only
reason I have some of this information is that Bridget was alive in the 1900
census, which was a huge help. Thank God for small wonders!
Do you know what kind of work your John did? Peter had one son born in
Cleveland around 1869 by the name of John Lynch. He worked for the Cleveland
Press and became an editor after working up from selling newspapers
originally. There was another son by the name of Patrick born in Cleveland
also.
