I don't know of any death records that are indexed and on film, other
than NYC...if your FHC is never open, you can order the films at your
local public library using the interlibrary loan program. If you go to
the LDS website,
http://www.familysearch.org

and, write to them, they will tell you how it works. If you need census
lookup, you should try your local public library, most have Ancestry.com
on their computers. Of course, you can also access the censuses with
subscriptions programs such as Ancestry and Genealogy.com or by joining
the NYG&BS on line.
