My own experience is that while I belonged to NYGBS (before they had
HeritageQuest on line for members) I subbed to Genealogy.com and really
liked their service which cost me about $100 for the year. When NYGBS
brought on HeritageQuest, I dropped Genealogy.com when my year was up.
I am now trying to get used to HQ but personally like the other better.
Now, Godrey Library also offers HQ for $30 per year.....Ancestry.com is
free at most local libraries and LDS Family History Centers. Genealogy
research get easier by the day.....
