Nancy,
I live on Long Island and I can tell you that the Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County
main newspaper would be "Newsday" it is the main Long Island newspaper and was
also in 1973.

www.newsday.com - and of course you want the Suffolk addition not the Nassau
addition.
