I don't know about Woodside or Sunnyside myself; NYC is like anywhere else -
you spend your life in one borough and that's what you know.
For me, it's Manhattan. There used to be an Irish enclave in N. Manhattan;
Inwood. It is now mostly Latino, folks from the Dominican Republic.The last
Irish gift store there closed a few years ago..I forget the name.
And the word "bangers" for sausage is of English origin...but used on both
sides of the water for who knows how long..centuries.
