In looking into getting a marriage license from 1897in Manhattan, I found out that any licenses from before 1930 can be applied for by email and you can give them a credit card and have it sent to you. This is a time saver and makes it much easier. I had an email back saying they had the application and I should receive it in 4 to 6 weeks.
