Here's a brief couple of notes about one of the ancestor-gods of the Érainn who include the Dál Fiatach of Ulster plus most of the tribes of Munster: the Dál gCais, the Déisi, Ciarraighe, etc.:

Also, for any O'Dea, O'Day, O'Dee, Day, Daw(e), Dee, etc out there, Dedad is where you get your name from. Ó Deághaidh means "Grandson of Deághadh." Deághadh and Deádhadh are modern spellings of Dedad.
