Subject: Re: [NY-LONGISLAND] Veterans cemteries

This may not be Long Island specific, but does anyone know at the
National Cemeteries: Pinelawn and Calverton, on the headstones it lists
a State as well as what War the Veteran fought in, etc. Is the state
that is listed the state the veteran lived in when he served or when he
passed away?
Thanks!
Margaret
If it list a Army or navy Company the state would be the home station of
the Unit they served in (if it is on the stone & not a list )
