My gt grandfather, Alva Laird, a/k/a Lard (b. 1835 at Castile NY, d.
1904 at Eagle NY), served in Co. F from 12-5-1861 to 7-17-1865, saw
considerable action, was captured twice, wounded twice, enlisted as a
private and at discharge had been promoted to 1st Lt.

Co. F, originally Capt Prey's Wadsworth Guards, was composed of
volunteers who were mainly from Wyoming County and immediate environs.

I am interested in obtaining copies of any photographs that may exist of
this unit and its members or learning of the location of any such
photographs.
