According to the following:

14th's Deeds Praised

"The war veterans of the Fourteenth Regiment, their wives & daughters
celebrated last night the thirty-fifth anniversary of the regiment's
departure for the seat of war in 1861, ..........etc.", Maj. Egolf attended
this function.
