Hi Diana-
Thanks for the reply and the suggestion. I was under the impression that if I
asked for pension records I would get military and pension together. But, now
that I read the form again, I see I was wrong. They suggest on the form that
you ask for pension first, if you are doing genealogical research.
I found Frank Ames' military info on Ancestry.com, thanks to a response from
another subscriber to this list. I posted a response to the list about it.
Thanks again for your help. I will be sending away for his military records,
and now I have even more info about him than before!
