Hi

Looking for information re-the Fighting 69th-during
'peace time'. I have some dates in which my
grandfather was a corporal in the Nat'l Guard-69th
Regiment-Company I-I had filled out the forms about a
year ago for NARA and never heard back from them.
Would there be any records for the time period and for
someone who did not serve in the Spanish American War
(or ANY war, for that matter!) If so, what might they
hold as far as vital statistics back then? Were there
service numbers for that period? And how would you
discover them if pertinent?

Any and all suggestions welcomed
