"James HOPKINS of Williamstown, Orange County, Vermont, enlisted Sept.
20, 1813 in Capt. John Weed's Company, Col. Clark's Rifle Regt.
Volunteered to go to Plattsburgh, [NY], September 1814 and served in
Capt. David Robinson's Company."
