Seeking all data on
William S. Lewis    I     21 NY Cav. in the Civil War.
Am trying to verify whether he was the same William LEWIS born either in
1824 or 1831 in Westchester, NY, son of John W. and Armilla HUGHSON, and
died 17 July 1892 at age 68, and is buried alone in Lot #378 in Woodlawn
Cemetery, East Schodack, Rensselaer, New York.

William LEWIS married Maryann Murphy, born ca 1825 in Ireland and died
before 1860. Children born between 1853-1856 of Sand Lake, Rensselaer,
NY, were:
~William Henry LEWIS m. Gertrude Louisa JENNINGS,
~Sarah A. LEWIS m. William HARRIS, and
~Winifred LEWIS m. George SWARTWHORT.
