In Marseilles, Illinois, of consumption, on the 4th ult., Enos. S. Wells, aged 25 years.
Mr Wells was from Linden, in this County, where he spent his boyhood, as a dutiful son to his widowed mother. Seven years since he went west, where soon after the breaking out of the rebellion, he enlisted as a soldier, in which capacity he faithfully served his country for nearly three years, until he was disabled through the encroachments of the disease that shortly terminated his martial life. He leaves a large circle of mourning friends, both east and west.
