Subject: [NY-TROY-IRISH-GENSOC] Looking for John McGreevy

I am researching my Mom's family and have finally found a link to
the Greenbush area.
John MCGREEVY came from County Roscommon (wife Catherine FITZSIMMONS)
in about 1850. They came into Boston and then on to Greenbush. They
brought three sons with them, Michael, Thomas and Patrick. There may
have been children left in Ireland. I have a record that says Thomas
moved to Lockport, NY in about 1880 at age 32 and worked as a
blacksmith. Patrick also lived in Lockport. Michael
went to Oil City, PA.
John is my GG Grandfather. Thomas, my Great Grandfather
(8/12/1848-8/12/1898). His wife was Mary Ann Rogers (April
1853-10/17/1907).
Thank you, Kit Wheatley
