Susan,
I happen to have the first three Micro films for Oakwood Cemetery checked
out at my local LDS Center. If they are still there and if your dates are
in the ranges I have, I would be happy to look for you. I think the
records
I have go from the opening of the cemetery up to 1920 or 1930. If you have
the dates or at least the year(s) I will see what I can do. If that
doesn't
work, I am on a first name basis with the gentleman in charge. At least he
knows who I am when I call. Very nice fellow.

Hi,
I live about 30 minutes west of Philadelphia and can search cemeteries in
the King of Prussia, Phoenixville, Bridgeport, Norristown and Pottstown
areas if anyone needs information. I'm trying to get information
regarding
my family in the Oakwood Cemetery and St. Peter's in Troy, NY. My family
names are Prout, O'Brien, McGovern, Leech and Ryan.
Thanks,

Hi Rich. That is strange. Their website states they hold death cert.
records from 1906 to the present. I wonder why they have that posted at
their site.
This is copied and pasted from their site (their underlining, not
mine):
'The Division of Vital Records maintains birth and death events that
occur
in Pennsylvania from 1906 to the present.'
Do you suppose they've changed things since you were in contact with
them?
Maybe Michael should call himself and see what they tell him.
