OUT OF TOWN NOTES .
GRANVILLE, N.Y.
B. A. Danyew left Tuesday for Cornell University to take a special
course.
The funeral of the little son of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Pomeroy, who died
Sunday evening, was held from the home Wednesday afternoon.
Cashier J. C. Thomson of the Washington County Bank is just recovering
from blood poisoning, caused by a sliver which ran into his hand last
May.
Prof. and Mrs. Raymond E. Brown and Miss Noxon will entertain friends in
honor of the faculty Friday evening at the Brown residence on East main
street.
Edward Roberts of Albany has been stopping in town.
Mrs. M.B. Allen has gone to St. Louis to reside wit her daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Lawler returned Sunday from their wedding trip.
E. R. Evans has purchased a half interest in Postmaster Williams' drug
stone.
Miss Jessie Weller, who has been at West Haverstraw for two years past,
is passing a few days at her home here.
Miss Bella McArthur gave a tea Saturday afternoon in honor of Misses
Bowden and McDonald of Boston, who have been at Miss McDonald's home
here for Thanksgiving vacation.
O.D. Cadwallader and family of North street have been to New Hampshire
to visit his sister.
H. L. Williams of Albany and Miss Jayne Williams of Glens Falls have
been home on a visit.
Daniel W. Roberts, Jr., of this village, was married to Miss Frances
Hall of Warrensburgh the past week. They came here to the home of his
brother, W. H. Roberts, where a reception was given them.
George D. Getty, a well-known former Granville resident, died at home in
Portland, Ore, the past week. He is survived by his wife, a son and a
daughter; a brother and four sisters, who resides in this vicinity.
Charles Savage was called to Burlington, Vt.,Saturday by the accident to
his brother, Fred W. savage, of this village, in the railroad wreck near
Vergennes, Vt. His injuries are very severe and he is in a critical
condition.
