Nancy,

You are taking me back 31 years ago, when as a youngster I hiked throughout
the Adirondacks. Mt Marcy, and the surrounding chain of mts. divide the
waters that flow to the St. Lawrence and the Hudson. While hiking Marcy we
were told that the headwaters for the Hudson flowed from there.

There is a pond on Marcy called "Tear of the Clouds". It is at 4326 ft.
