You might want to check the town clerks around Albany for the death
certificate. For years, we thought my grandmother died in Dunkirk, NY, and we
could never get her death certificate. Just recently, we learned that although
her residence was Dunkirk, she died in a hospital in a nearby town and that's
where the death certificate was.
