Of course I didn't know those Slaters, but I grew up with Russell and
Van Slater. Van lives in the area with his family now.

Checking the 1854 Albany County map, I believe that on the road
heading West out of Coeyman's, there is a house with the name of R?.
W?. Slater. Keep in mind that the names are all hand written, and are
barely legible ( some of the names are totally illegible).
Maybe someone else could verify the name, as well.
