Forgive me if I've asked you this before.
How would I locate information on the Holland Purchase of "western" New York?
I assume it would be around 1810 or so?

Also, is there any way to go back to 1790 era for a Township called Peru ,
New York? I believe it later became part of Wilmington in the Keene area but
I have had no luck tracing this type of genealogy/family data.

It would be worth a trip for me to drive to Albany if there are primary
source materials or compilations that go back that far. I've tried to send
e-mail into Essex County New York but have been unsuccessful in my attempts.
