Did you search the NY state censi to see where his children went? Old
people frequently end up buried in the towns where they lived with their
children in their old age. Eastern NY folks at that period frequently
went west within the state, or even farther. Were they young enough to
live long enough to participate in the Gold Rush or the Transcontinental
Railroad pursuits?
