I note that the surname list you posted includes Cornelius Salisbury. For
some time I have been trying to get information on James Salisbury b. 1781 in
RI, lived in Otsego County NY by 1805 and later moved to Orleans County where
he remained until his death in 1869. Near James Salisbury lived Gardner
Salisbury who was born in Otsego County. I have been trying to make a
connection between these two Salisbury families and am curious if Gardner
Salisbury was so named because of a connection with the Gardner family. Does
your data base shed any light on this matter? I appreciate your time in
