Subject: [NYALBANY] Church Record Lookup
Date: Wed, 27 Sep 2000 23:43:36 -0500
I have an Irish family that lived in Albany from 1866-1871. Their first address was 172 Colonie, then they moved to 142 Third by 1870.
The family was:
Michael GONOUDE, age 60 in 1866
Patrick GONOUDE, age 13 in 1866
John GONOUDE
Ellen GONOUDE
Michael's wife was Elizabeth Maghea, but she either passed away before the family emigrated or she may have died in Albany. She is not buried with her husband in Council Bluffs, IA. The family was Roman Catholic.
I am told that the State Library has church records. Would any kind soul be willing to look up the church this family belonged to? It most likely was close to their home, and their two addresses are only blocks apart, so I doubt that they would have changed churches.
Any help- or recommendations on what churches I might call would be greatly appreciated as well.
Thank You,
Laura
