My 5th. great-grandfather, Jacobus Cromwell, was reported to have been born
in Albany, N.Y. about 1683, possibly the son of an English Soldier stationed
there.

Any suggestions about how to learn his parents, greatly appreciated.

Also, are there any magazines, to which I can subscribe about the French &
Indian War or the American Revolution?
